ArmInfo. At the Yerevan school after A.S. Pushkin, like the school after A. Chekhov does not have a license to implement an elementary educational program. The Minister of Education and Science of Armenia Araik Harutyunyan stated on July 4 in an interview with reporters. According to him, it is possible that in the current academic year (2018-2019) the Ministry of Education and Science will show some kind of softness towards such offending schools in order not to interfere with the educational process, but from next year the reaction will be very tough.
According to him, for today, there are 4 schools functioning without a corresponding license for the right to teach in junior classes (grades 1-4). In addition, there are also identified senior schools, which again without a license carry out the educational process in junior classes. They applied for licensing. And if this year the Ministry in their relationship may show a more loyal attitude, then next year the department plans to introduce a new - electronic procedure for recruiting children in the first class. Thanks to this, the Minister explained, the school will not be able to accept children more than the license granted to them allows. In parallel, the number of students in the upper grades that have been adopted in violation of these norms will be reduced.
The recruitment of children outside the license and established order, according to Harutyunyan, directly harms the health of children. The limited territory, the lack of appropriate conditions for the given age in the classroom - the reasons that can cause spine diseases. In fact, as the minister indicated, all this happened with the permission and protection of the previous authorities, because of which even the inspection body had no right to conduct inspections in educational institutions. "And when the inspection body could still start its checks, they received calls warning them not to "touch" the schools of the oligarchs' children," he explained.
Earlier, the head of the MES urged the parents of first-graders, sending their children to schools, be sure to learn from the management of educational institutions, whether there is a license for planning the educational process. Earlier, Harutyunyan reported that the licensing agency found out that the worst Yerevan school N55 them. A.Chekhova did not have a license to provide even primary education.
