As the press service of the Armenian government reports, on behalf of the Armenian government and people, Nikol Pashinyan congratulated the US Ambassador to Armenia Richard Mills, embassy staff, wishing friendly American people prosperity and consistent development.
The US Ambassador expressed gratitude for the visit and congratulations. "We are honored on this beautiful day, when the US celebrates Independence Day, to welcome you to the US Embassy. The United States is a good friend and partner, and I also expect our consistent cooperation based on our common values," said Richard Mills.
The Prime Minister of Armenia highly appreciated the close cooperation formed with the United States. "The Armenian government considers it important to have an active dialogue and cooperation with the United States in all spheres of mutual interest and are ready to jointly send new impetus to bilateral cooperation, including with the aim of expanding trade and economic ties," Nikol Pashinyan said.
The interlocutors dwelled in detail on the changes that have occurred in Armenia, the strengthening of democracy, the protection of human rights, civil society, the fight against corruption, the development of the legal system. In this context, Richard Mills stressed that the US is ready with close cooperation with the Armenian government and to provide the necessary consultative, technical and financial assistance. The sides also discussed issues related to increasing the flow of investment in Armenia and the growth of mutual trade turnover.
Nikol Pashinyan and Richard Mills stressed the importance of an exclusively peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group.
