Criminal cases of heads of Mikhailovka and Dzyunashogh communities sent to court

ArmInfo. The preliminary investigation of two criminal cases of embezzlement of Mikhailovka and Dzyunashogh heads of rural communities in especially large amounts and abuse of office has ended.

According to the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office, the preliminary investigation found that on February 18, 2015, a contract was signed between the regional administration of Lori and the supplier company, the head of the community Mikhailovka LD.  submitted a falsified list of 94 beneficiaries to the regional administration of Lori, and received 93,950 kg of fertilizer worth 11.274 million AMD. In exchange, on March 20, 2015, the community leader Katnatat transferred 3.000.000 million drams to the account of the supplier. A 65.530 kg of fertilizers used to fertilize his land, and he gave part of the fertilizer to the heads of the communities of Katnarat and Dziunashog. As a result, it was established that the head of the community Mikhailovka in 2015 appropriated fertilizers worth 7.914 million drams. Then, in order to conceal this embezzlement in 2017, L.D. presented to the Lori regional administration a fake list of beneficiaries who received nitrogen fertilizers, but because of debts they could not pay for them.

Then the head of the community, in order to hide the theft of the seeds of autumn wheat, again, in the same way, produced a fake list of beneficiaries, which he submitted to the regional administration.

G.G. in 2017 presented to the regional administration a fake list of beneficiaries who received seeds of autumn wheat on the basis of which the Armenian government forgave the debt and stopped the duties of the Junashog community to pay 4.800.000 million drams.

On the basis of these facts, the heads of both communities of Mikhailovka and Dzhunashogh were charged under articlesfull 179 and 314 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia, a non-leave warrant was chosen as a preventive measure against them. During the preliminary investigation, they partially restored the damage to the state, promising to pay the full amount before the forensic examination began. The preliminary investigation is completed, the cases were sent to the court of Laurie.
