SIS: Manvel Grigoryan`s wife Nazik Amiryan detained

ArmInfo. In the framework of the criminal case, his wife Nazik Amiryan was detained in relation to the deputy, general and former head of the Yerkrapah Volunteer Union  Manvel Grigoryan.

According to the SIS Amiryan is suspected under Article 235 of the RA  Criminal Code (Illegal acquisition, sale, storage, transportation or  carrying of weapons, ammunition, explosives or explosive devices). It  should be noted that Nazik Amiryan voluntarily appeared in the  investigative bodies.

To note, during the search of houses and mansions of Grigorian, large  quantities of illegal weapons, provisions stolen from the army, a  collection of expensive cars, money, certificates of ownership were  identified. Grigoryan is deprived of parliamentary immunity and  arrested. The investigation is under way.  Earlier, Prosecutor  General Artur Davtyan did not exclude the possibility of arrest of  relatives and people from the closest associates of Grigoryan who are  also involved in the case. Against the backdrop of the recent events,  the son of Grigoryan, Mayor of Echmiadzin Karen Grigoryan, resigned.  It is not yet clear whether the then leadership of the country was  aware of the criminal activities of the general. Meanwhile, the  ex-minister of defense Seyran Ohanyan assured that he has no idea how  the goods, weapons and means, for Grigoryan's mission, belonged to  the army. He sent arrows to the military leadership of Artsakh.
