Turkologist: Elections in Turkey demonstrated - Erdogan will continue  building the new state of his dreams

ArmInfo.Presidential and parliamentary elections in Turkey showed - Recep Tayyip Erdogan will continue building the new state of his dreams, and the country will  continue to strengthen its sole management. At the same time, he noted that another important event in this  election was the passage to the parliament of the pro-Kurdish  People's Democratic Party (HDP). "Moreover, the HDP has received even  more votes than during the parliamentary elections in 2015. And this  is against the backdrop of unprecedented pressure exerted on members  of this party.These indicators indicate that the Kurdish issue not  only continues to be relevant in the country, but will become even  more acute in future years, "the expert believes.

Equally important, the expert considers the loss of the ruling  Justice and Development Party (AKP) 7% of the electorate. According  to him, the decline in the credibility of the AKP is due to the  decline in Turkey's economic development, caused by inflation and the  deterioration of the social situation in the broader social strata.  According to Safrastyan, Erdogan could foresee the decline in the  rating of the ruling party, and quickly organized extraordinary  elections in the country.

The turkologist also believes that the elections showed that Turkey's  geography is divided into three parts, and this in turn leads to a  political division in the country and the emergence of disagreements.  "But the past elections also testify that Erdogan will continue to  build Turkey of his dream. New Turkey, which is not of regional but  of global importance, Erdogan has already stated that he intends to  do everything for Turkey to enter the 10 strongest countries in the  world, it means that Ankara will continue to lead an adventurous  foreign policy, " said the expert.

On the eve of the presidential and parliamentary elections in Turkey.  According to the results of the calculation of 85% of votes, "Justice  and Development Party - AKP" - 43.5% and 297 seats, "Party of the  Nationalist Movement - MHP" - 11.5% and 51 seats. Together, the  "People's Alliance" - 348 seats in the parliament.  Meanwhile, the  "Republican People's Party - the People's Republic of China" - 22.0%  and 142 seats, "Good Party" (young nationalists) - 9.9% and 45 seats,  Felicity Party - SP - 1.4% - no places. In total, the alliance  "Nation" - 187 seats in parliament. Pro-Kurdish People's Democratic  Party (HDP) - 10.4% of the vote and 65 seats in parliament. There are  600 seats in the Turkish Parliament.

In the course of the presidential elections, the incumbent head of  state Recep Tayyip Erdogan, after counting more than 99% of the  ballots, won the majority of votes.
