The son of Manvel Grigoryan Karen Grigoryan is accused of theft

In the criminal case against the deputy, general and former head of the Yerkrapah Volunteer Union Manvel Grigoryan, his son, ex-mayor of Echmiadzin  Karen Grigoryan was charged under Article 179 of the Criminal Code  (embezzlement on a particularly large scale). This was reported by  the press service of the Special Investigation Service.

In particular, Karen Grigoryan is accused that he, together with  Manvel Grigoryan and other persons, by theft, appropriated to himself  the property entrusted to him on an especially large scale.

"During the four-day April war in 2016 and the following days, the"  Armenian Community of Russia "organization for the Artsakh Defense  Army bought and transported three VAZ vehicles, military equipment  and military clothes for soldiers to Armenia, after which the members  of this organization, together with Karen Grigoryan went to Artsakh,  where they were handed over to the latter and Manvel Grigoryan the  assistance they brought, so that they could provide her to the  Defense Army, Karen and Manvel Grigoryan instead of handing over the  rendered help, in money terms, making up 10.028.580 drams, the  Defense Army of Artsakh, by preliminary agreement with a group of  people, appropriated it, having transported to the city of  Echmiadzin, these cars were in the yard of the firm "Ara and  Ajtsemnik" with the permission of the owner of the company and were  used for personal purposes by Karen and Manvel Grigoryans " , the SIS  said in a statement.

In respect of Karen Grigoryan as a preventive measure, a written  undertaking not to leave the country was elected.
