


ArmInfo. On June 19, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited the "Synopsys Armenia" company. He toured in the training and production departments of one of the leading IT companies, got acquainted with its current and prospective programs, new initiatives aimed at developing the field of information technology.
As the press service of the Armenian government reports, the company's executives presented in details the educational program implemented on the basis of the university-industry cooperation model. It is implemented jointly with the National Polytechnic University of Armenia. The company also cooperates with the Yerevan State University, the Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University, the European Regional Academy and others. During the meeting it was noted that a significant number of graduates, as well as students of the training department work in the company, in addition to scientific and research work, they also design Start-up programs.
In the production department Pashinyan was informed that the company introduced new tools for more than 70 new educational programs, each costing $ 1.5 million. The head of government talked with students and employees of the company, got acquainted with their achievements and welcomed the application of new ideas and approaches.
Pashinyan pointed at the importance of developing this field, stressing that it is among the priorities of the executive body. He proposed to submit to the government of the republic a program of comprehensive events around the above-mentioned issues, the so-called "road map", with a clear indication of the functions and work of the state and the private sector.
