ArmInfo. Armenia and Japan have great potential for upgrading bilateral cooperation to a qualitatively new level, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated today at the meeting with Japanese Ambassador to Armenia Jun Yamada.
Stressing the importance of intensifying bilateral cooperation, the RA Prime Minister expressed gratitude to the government of the Land of the Rising Sun for granting 200 new Japanese cars to Armenia. He expressed hope that close cooperation between the executive bodies of the two states will facilitate the involvement of Japanese capital in the Armenian market. In his turn, Ambassador Yamada assured that he will make every effort to strengthen the Armenian- Japanese cooperation, including in the economic field, in order to implement investment programs.
The interlocutors considered such areas as industry, information technologies, tourism, etc., as perspective directions of cooperation. In this context, the sides stressed the importance of mutual visits at a high level. Nikol Pashinyan expressed gratitude to the Japanese side for a balanced approach to the settlement of the Karabakh conflict, and added that such a stand contributes to the establishment of peace and stability in the region.
