


ArmInfo.Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received LebaneseAmbassador to Armenia Maya Dagher on June 19.
According to the press service of the Armenian government, during the meeting the sides discussed a number of issues related to further development and deepening of the Armenian-Lebanese relations. Nikol Pashinyan highly appreciated the level of bilateral political interaction, pointing out the importance of expanding ties in the economic field. "We see good prospects for cooperation in the economic sector between the two countries, and we will be able to achieve concrete results by joint efforts," the Prime Minister said, adding that Lebanese businessmen can launch activities in Armenia, including in three free economic zones, in which favorable conditions have been created. He also expressed gratitude to Lebanon for its stand in the issues of the Armenian Genocide and the Karabakh settlement.
Maya Dagher stressed the important role of the Armenian community in Lebanon in political and public life, expressing the hope that active cooperation between the governments of the two states will help deepen and expand bilateral relations. The Ambassador informed that a group of Lebanese businessmen is planning a visit to Armenia. She also said that the President of Lebanon will visit Armenia in autumn to take part in the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) Summit.
