ArmInfo. The final date of the meeting between the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan has not yet been agreed on. Tigran Balayan, spokesman for the Armenian Foreign Ministry, stated during the briefing on June 18.
According to him, as soon as a consensus on this issue is reached with Azerbaijan, the Armenian Foreign Ministry will report this.
Speaking about the results of the mediators' visit to the region, Balayan stated that the relevant departments provided all the information regarding the past meetings of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs with the country's top leadership and there is nothing to add to it. He also noted that the co-chairs also circulated a statement outlining further cooperation. "As we have repeatedly stated, the priority for Armenia remains the status of Karabakh and ensuring the security of its population," he said.
The representative of the Armenian Foreign Ministry stressed that the agreements of the Geneva, Vienna and St. Petersburg summit continue to be among the priorities of the agenda of both the co-chairmen and Armenia. The comment that this time the statement of the mediators did not say anything about the necessity of fulfilling the Vienna and Petersburg agreements. "Ensuring progress in the negotiation process presupposes, above all, the implementation of the above agreements," Balayan said.
