ArmInfo. According to Zhamanak (Time), early parliamentary elections in Armenia will be held at the end of September this year, and before that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will resign.
According to the newspaper, in the coming days the National Assembly will be presented with a draft of the new Electoral Code. In case of its adoption, the newspaper writes, Pashinyan will resign and initiate the dissolution of the parliament. "And in order that no other force nominates a candidate for the post of prime minister, he will appeal to the people with a call to protect the achievements of the revolution.
Such haste is due to the fact that post-revolutionary euphoria is passing, and the problems remain unresolved, "the article says." The publication reminds that the Francophonie Summit will be held in Armenia on October 5, but the authorities intend to complete the electoral processes before it starts.
