ArmInfo. On June 15, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received the French Ambassador to Armenia Jonathan Lacote.
As the press service of the government reports, Pashinyan highly assessed the current level of the Armenian-French relations, noting that the task of the government of the two countries to develop new ties in a new way. As the prime minister said, Armenia looks forward to the visit of French President Emmanuel Macron and with great responsibility to prepare for the autumn summit of the international organization of Francophonie.
The French ambassador said that France followed with great attention the latest political processes in Armenia. According to him, the cooperation between the International Organization of Francophonie and Armenia will continue to develop successfully, as the values of the Armenian revolution are consonant with the values of the organization. He also noted the willingness of the head of the French Republic to develop relations with Armenia, while substantially developing economic cooperation between the countries.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to cooperation in the spheres of economy, education, and culture.
The summit of Francophonie will take place in Armenia in October 2018.
