ArmInfo. The Prosecutor General's Office has instituted 22 criminal cases in connection with misappropriations by the heads of educational institutions, as well as with forging documents, using official powers to commit theft, obtaining bribes etc.
According to the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office, 16 of these cases relate to school principals, 4 - kindergartens, and 2 authorized officials of higher educational institutions. In 22 cases it was found that the total damage to the state amounted to 33.227.700 drams, of which 1.123.000 drams were returned.
In particular, during the investigation it was revealed that more number of students and employees of educational institutions were included in the official documentation. As a result, the state budget overpaid to these educational institutions. In addition, the amount allocated for student meals and repairs was appropriated. There were also cases of providing false certificates.
