ArmInfo. Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu sent a congratulatory message to Nikol Pashinyan on June 1 in connection with his election to the post of Prime Minister of Armenia.
As the press service of the government reports, the Prime Minister and the people of Armenia on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the First Armenian Republic also congratulated Netanyahu. Noting that last year Israel and Armenia marked the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, the Israeli prime minister stressed that mutual understanding between the two countries is based on a similar historical experience of the two peoples. The message reads in part: "Israel is ready to expand its cooperation with Armenia in a number of areas, including agriculture, energy, water management, etc. I look forward to fruitful joint work with you and the new government of Armenia to strengthen the Armenian-Israeli partnership".
