A memorial plaque dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First  Republic of Armenia was opened in Tbilisi

ArmInfo.Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan participated in the opening ceremony of the memorial plaque dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First Republic of Armenia  in the Tbilisi Youth House. Then Pashinyan and his Georgian counterpart Georgi Kvirikashvili took part in the reception dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First Republic of Armenia in Tbilisi City Council building.

According to the press service of the Armenian government, Nikol  Pashinyan, in his speech stressed that the capital of Georgia is full  of energy of the joint history of the Armenian and Georgian peoples,  and this is the situation when two people are connected with each  other. "These roots are so strongly intertwined that we are obliged  to build a strong, happy and free future in our history." The history  of the creation of the First Republic of Armenia is a story of the  triumph of the soul," he said. According to him, the Armenian people  could win there, where it seemed that we had no chance and,  unfortunately, often lost where there seemed to be no chance of  losing. "Our First Republic, I think, is primarily a triumph of the  spirit, and it was thanks to this spirit of victory that we managed  to survive in wars, genocides and disasters for thousands of years,"  the prime minister said.

He added that today's Republic of Armenia is, above all, a state of  love, solidarity and ideas. "Today Armenia is like that, and it will  remain so forever, because the material can be broken, destroyed, and  what is connected with the mind and spirit is irresistible and  unbreakable, and I want this spirit, and not the mercantile  calculation, to be present in the Armenian-Georgian We should build  relations with our brotherly country in this spirit, and our peoples  must win new victories and create joint happiness in a peaceful, free  and happy region, and this region should become such," Pashinyan  said.
