ArmInfo. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan had a conversation with President Georgi Margvelashvili during his working visit to Georgia. Nikol Pashinyan also met with Speaker of the Georgian Parliament Irakli Kobakhidze.
The sides discussed the Armenian- Georgian cooperation. As the press service of the government reports, Margvelashvili highly appreciated the results of the meetings between the governments of Armenia and Georgia. According to him, this will strengthen the relationship between the two countries. "I am glad to meet with the democratic prime minister of Armenia, I hope that your visit will give a new impetus to the Armenian-Georgian relations, which have a centuries-old history," the Georgian president said.
Nikol Pashinyan, in his turn, expressed hope that during the meeting with the president it will be possible to outline new opportunities for the development of interstate relations.
Already at the meeting between Pashinyan and Kobakhidze, the speaker of the Georgian parliament expressed his belief that the visit of the Armenian prime minister will give a new impetus to bilateral relations in various directions. Nikol Pashinyan, in turn, stressed that in the relations between the two countries an important role is assigned to the inter-parliamentary dialogue. At the same time, he expressed hope for an increase in the level of interaction between the legislative bodies of Armenia and Georgia.
