RA Ombudsman holds talks with ECHR President

ArmInfo.Armenian Ombudsman Arman Tatoyan and President of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) Guido Raymond noted the importance of submitting a special opinion by the Constitutional Court, drafting legislative projects, as well as  the practice of providing the human rights defender with opinions on cases in the ECHR.

As the press service of the Ombudsman of Armenia told ArmInfo, during  the meeting the reports presented by Tatoyan were highly appreciated,  which are also taken into account when passing a verdict by the  court.  During the meeting, the importance of the Ombudsman's  participation in the execution of court decisions and cooperation  with the Committee of Ministers was stressed.

In his turn, Tatoyan expressed gratitude to Raymond for his high  appraisal and assured that she will constantly focus on the  introduction of legal norms into the legal system of the country.
