ArmInfo. Armenian President Armen Sargsyan during the meeting with the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and Georgia, Toivo Claar, emphasized the importance of constructive dialogue and further development of relations with the EU.
The press service of the RA President's Office told ArmInfo that Sarkissian also noted that the signed agreement on an expanded and comprehensive Armenia-EU partnership opens new opportunities for cooperation.
At the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. In this regard, the Armenian President stated Yerevan's commitment to the settlement of the conflict within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group and the intention to continue the negotiation process to achieve a peaceful settlement of the problem.
The interlocutors also touched upon the need to create an atmosphere conducive to peace, and stressed the importance of measures to create mutual trust between civil societies.
