This was in conversation with journalists on May 29, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said, commenting on the situation with the fact that the Speaker of the National Assembly Ara Babloyan was not invited to the festive events in Sardarapat in honor of the 100th anniversary of the First Republic.
"In connection with the transitional period in the country, there was a deplorable misunderstanding, I understand that there is a tradition in Armenia to discuss and resolve all issues at the level of the Prime Minister. And now, when the Prime Minister does not consider it necessary to delve into all the details. The system still operates by inertia," Pashinyan said. The Prime Minister also assured that in their activities there will be no elements of pettiness. "In general, in connection with yesterday's festive events, there are some problems, including some unacceptable episodes, which I'm sure will soon be eliminated, be sure that there will not be petty elements in our activity," concluded Pashinyan.
Yesterday, May 28, during the festive events timed to the 100th anniversary of the First Republic in Sardarapat, there was no Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Ara Babloyan. As the deputy head of the National Assembly's Apparatus Arsen Babayan said, the whole matter is that Ara Babloyan was not invited to the events as the chairman of the National Assembly. Ara Babloyan was invited to these events among the 3 MPs from the Republican Party. "NA Speaker Ara Babloyan believes that a separate branch of power - legislative - shows an unequal attitude," concluded Babayan.
