According to him, until recently, there were about 7-8 organizations in the republic that dealt not only with cargo transportation, but with customs documents. With the creation of Norfolk Consulting, an attempt was made to distinguish these actions in order to facilitate customs procedures at the border for business entities. David Ananyan called for considering the issue solely in the legal plane. It should be noted that the Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan (residence in Shengavit administrative district) decided to arrest for a period of 2 months the head of the accounting department Company Simon Arakelyan and chief accountant Tigran Zohrabyana. According to their lawyer Armen Andrikyan, the court is satisfied with the preliminary investigation body petition for election in respect of his defendants, a preventive measure in the form of detention. However, the lawyer intends to appeal the decision of the court within 10 days. "My client did not admit his guilt for us it is not clear what they were accused of the decision on the application of a preventive measure is not a word about how, by what they have committed misconduct are suspected of committing a crime", said the lawyer.
On May 25 the National Security Service of Armenia stated that, as part of its activities aimed at combating corruption and economic crimes, it disclosed a criminal scheme. As the press center of the National Security Service of Armenia reported, the large company operating in Armenia maliciously evaded payment of taxes, duties and other obligatory payments in especially large amounts. It is reported that high- ranking officials of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia had a direct bearing on the establishment of the company and organization of its activities. The Company has not paid to the state budget of about $ 7 million. In this incident the investigation department of the National Security Service initiated a criminal case under part 2 of article 205 ( "Evasion from payment of taxes, duties or other mandatory payments") and Part 2 of Article 308 ( "Abuse of powers, entailing by imprudence grave consequences ") of the RA Criminal Code. Two former deputy chairmen of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia were invited to be interrogated as witnesses in the criminal case. The preliminary investigation continues.
