The visit to Armenia on the Day of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the First Republic symbolizes the continuing character of the Armenian-French relations and the continuation of the policy of close cooperation. The President of Armenia Armen Sargsyan stated during the meeting with the French and French Minister of Foreign Affairs Jean-Yves Le Drian.
Passing to the President of Armenia the warm wishes of the French leader who will visit Yerevan in October this year, Le Drian highly appreciates the peaceful nature of the fundamental changes that have taken place in the Republic, as well as the balanced role of Armen Sarkissian himself in these processes. He assured that France will always be next to Armenia in today's difficult international conditions.
Expressing satisfaction with the Armenian-French interaction developing dynamically in all spheres, the interlocutors touched upon the upcoming summit of Francophonie in Yerevan this autumn, preparations for its holding, as well as the organization of an economic forum in its fields.
During the meeting, Armenia's role as a bridge between the EU and the Eurasian Economic Union was singled out, which opens up new opportunities for foreign investors.
