RA Premier: Yerevan interested in developing relations with  Washington in all directions

ArmInfo. Armenia attaches importance to the development of relations with the United States of America. On the eve of the meeting with the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Brigitte Brink, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said.

According to him, according to the press service of the Armenian government, Yerevan is interested in developing relations with Washington in all areas, including political and economic spheres, strengthening democracy, protecting human rights. Nikol Pashinyan stressed that the priority for the Armenian authorities is to fight corruption, implement reforms in the system of governance and law.

Brigitte Brink congratulated Nikol Pashinyan on his election to the post of Prime Minister of Armenia and on the 100th anniversary of the First Republic. She noted that in this historic period for Armenia, the US is ready to take steps and further develop relations with the republic. Welcoming your initiative to combat corruption, we will support your government's efforts to ensure equal playing rules for the Armenian people and American investments, "said Brigitte Brink. 

The interlocutors discussed the negotiation process on the peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict. The Prime Minister of Armenia stressed the importance of the efforts of the US and other co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group - Russia and France on the peaceful settlement of the conflict. In this context, he pointed to the need to form and strengthen the atmosphere, to solve this problem.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the possibility of attracting US investments in the Armenian economy, other issues of mutual interest.
