ArmInfo. Prime Minister of Georgia Georgy Kvirikashvili met with Armenian President Armen Sarkissian yesterday. This is reported by "Georgia Online" with reference to the press service of the Georgian government administration.
The head of the Georgian government congratulated Armen Sarkissian on his appointment and thanked him for his visit to Georgia.
Georgi Kvirikashvili noted that fraternal Armenia, like Georgia, celebrates the 100th anniversary of independence and this date is of special importance for both countries.
At the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of centuries-old, close and friendly relations with Armenia and expressed the hope that cooperation in different spheres will be more dynamic.
"It is a great honor for me to be here today and celebrate the 100th anniversary of a great victory with my brothers," the Armenian President stated and thanked Georgi Kvirikashvili for the warm welcome. Armen Sarkissian confirmed the desire to deepen existing ties.
It was noted at the meeting that the stability of the two countries will bring prosperity in the region. George Kvirikashvili wished success to the new government of Armenia.
