ArmInfo. Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigiryan met May 25 with the head of the EU delegation in Armenia, Ambassador Piotr Switalski.
As the press service of the government reports, Switalski noted that he expects close cooperation with the new government of Armenia to expand and deepen Armenia-EU cooperation. The head of the EU delegation in Armenia also noted that the financial assistance that the EU will render Armenia in 2018 increased by a quarter, which indicates the prospects and opportunities for further expansion of Armenia-EU relations in the near future.
The sides discussed issues on the agenda of Armenia-EU relations and the EU-supported programs in Armenia, in particular, exchanged views on the work on combating corruption in Armenia.
Mher Grigiryan highly appreciated the cooperation between Armenia and the EU, expecting his further development of cooperation.
Ambassador Piotr Switalski spoke positively about the reforms in the economic, legal and a number of other spheres in Armenia, expressing his readiness to support the RA in this important period for the country.
