ArmInfo. The capital city governor Taron Margaryan finally came out to the people. Individual citizens rushed to Margaryan's arms.
"My very dear fellow citizens," the head of the capital administration began his speech, "I am very glad that you have gathered here." As the mayor pointed out, the words of his like-minded people, citizens who appreciate his work, were heard. "I am grateful to you for coming here and defending your mayor," he said.
According to Taron Margaryan, he was always close to the people. And today he hopes that only by joint efforts it will be possible to deal with the construction of the capital of Armenia.
Answering the remark about why he did not come out earlier, when opponents were waiting for him outside the mayor's office, besides his supporters, he stated that he was in another administrative district of Yerevan during the working visit. "I arrived as soon as I could to hear my fellow citizens," he said.
As for today's protest, the mayor of Yerevan believes that a number of citizens violated the law by breaking into the building of the mayor's office and obstructing the normal course of activity of the capital administration. According to Margaryan, law enforcement agencies should give legal assessment to these actions.
Touching upon activists' accusations that the Yerevan municipality, in the guise of accomplishment, cut down healthy trees in the center of the capital, Margaryan noted that he is very grateful to the "Vardanyan Family" foundation for taking up the construction of the park. He assured that soon the developer will present the construction plan in details to the public.
