According to the Constitution of Armenia, after the election of the Prime Minister, the government of Armenia is formed within 15 days after the appointment of the Prime Minister. After his appointment, the Prime Minister within five days offers the Armenian President the candidacies of vice-premiers and ministers. Within 20 days after the formation of the government, the Prime Minister presents the program of the Armenian government to the Armenian National Assembly. The Armenian National Assembly approves the program of the Armenian government within 7 days, by a majority of votes of the total number of deputies. If the Armenian National Assembly does not approve the program of the Armenian government and does not elect a new prime minister, the Armenian National Assembly dissolves by the force of law. If the National Assembly elects a prime minister, but does not approve the program of the Armenian government, the Armenian National Assembly dissolves by the force of law.
