ArmInfo.Thousands of Armenian citizens gathered early in the morning on the Republic Square, from where they will follow the elections of the Prime Minister, which will be held on May 8 in the Armenian parliament.
An extraordinary meeting will start in the parliament at 12:00 pm local time. The only candidate for prime ministers is the representative of the opposition faction "Elk", the leader of the "Make a step" movement Nikol Pashinyan.
It was at Pashinyan's call that citizens gathered in the square from early morning to celebrate the victory. Many, at the call of the organizers of the rally, came to the square wearing white T-shirts and shirts, as well as Armenian tricolor and balloons. The square has a festive atmosphere, music sounds, people dance.
If Pashinyan fails to enlist the support of 53 MPs, the National Assembly, according to Constitution, will be dissolved.
