"Komitas" branch of HSBC Bank Armenia, which was attacked on May 3,  will resume its work on May 7

ArmInfo.The Yerevan branch of "Komitas" HSBC Bank Armenia (address: 3 Komitas Ave.), which was attacked on May 3, will resume work on May 7. As the press service of the Bank told ArmInfo, currently the investigation works continue.

The Bank's message explains that there are no victims among the  clients and employees of the Bank. The attacker is not a customer of  HSBC Bank Armenia, and the amount stolen by him was confiscated by  the police and deposited with the bank for safekeeping.

The management of HSBC Bank Armenia and all the staff express their  condolences to the relatives and friends of the deceased policemen.  This is the security guard of the Komitas branch Khachatur Galstyan,  who resisted the robber at the entrance to the bank, and the senior  police warrant officer Ara Shahgulyan, who received a gunshot wound  during the arrest of the attacker and later died in the hospital.

On the eve, the Investigative Committee of Armenia reported that a  criminal case was instituted on the armed attack on the branch of  "Komitas" of HSBC Bank Armenia, on 175, 104, 34 and 235 articlesfull of  the Criminal Code of Armenia. An investigation team was created. The  stolen amount was confiscated and deposited in the bank for  safekeeping. The amount of the stolen amount in the SC message is not  specified.  Earlier, RA Police spokesman Edgar Janoyan told ArmInfo  that the attacker is the head of the center for responding to  violations recorded by the CCTV cameras of the RA traffic police, the  police colonel Daniel Danielyan. Recall that an armed attack on the  branch of "Komitas" HSBC Bank Armenia, located at the intersection of  Komitas-Gulbekyan streets, occurred on May 3 at about 14:10 local  time. At 14:25 the police received a report about this attack. The  group of policemen who arrived in the place found out that the  attacker, armed with a knife, a grenade and firearms (a carbine of  the brand "Fabarm"), entered the bank, wounded two bank guards (one  shot and the other with a knife), one of which died. The attacker,  having stolen the sum in especially large amounts, tried to hide from  the scene of the crime, but was surrounded by the incoming  operational group. He resisted, fired at one of the policemen, but  was neutralized and detained. Later, on the evening of May 3, from  the medical center, the Investigative Committee was informed that a  policeman injured in the arrest of a robber had died.
