ArmInfo.Armenia needs reform of the health care system. On May 1, Nikol Pashinyan, the candidate for prime ministers of the RA, announced from the rostrum of the parliament.
According to him, today the situation in the sphere of medical care of citizens is simply shameful. De jure people get medical care, and de facto citizens of the country refrain from seeking medical help because of their high cost. One of the directions of reforms should be a system of medical insurance, but it must be done carefully, with the conduct of professional research so as not to repeat the previous mistakes. Pashinyan recalled that earlier two attempts to introduce health insurance were simply failed. "It is necessary to find a solution to the problem, so that the citizens of the country receive decent Medina services," the candidate for prime ministers said, adding that the new government will pay special attention not only to these issues, but also to the prices of medicines. To solve the problem, it is necessary to determine three main problems: to increase the efficiency of the health care system, to eliminate corruption risks and to increase the financing of the sphere. Over the next two years, the new government intends to increase the revenue of the state budget by 30%, and, accordingly, the allocations to the sphere will be increased by 30%.
