Naira Zohrabyan: There is a chance to break entrenched system in  Armenia

ArmInfo. In the upcoming elections we will support the candidacy of the people's Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. On April 30, in a conversation with journalists, after a  meeting with the candidate for the post of prime minister from the Yelk faction, Nikol Pashinyan, a deputy from the Tsaroukyan bloc faction, Naira Zohrabyan, stated.

She noted that the meeting discussed issues of bilateral interest  related to the further joint work of the factions. "Block Tsaroukyan"  never put forward preconditions in matters of cooperation. We are  sure of one thing, we have a worthy opportunity to break the system  that has long been rooted in our country. And we must unite our  forces without ultimatums in order to lead the country out of the  complicated situation that has arisen. All our deputies, who are now  in Armenia, will participate tomorrow in the elections, "the deputy  noted.

Zohrabyan also said that there is a need for a specific time frame  for when there will be early elections to the parliament, while the  time for proper organization of these elections is necessary. "We put  forward certain proposals, in particular, we proposed to abandon the  rating system, etc. The most important thing for us now is to  properly prepare for the forthcoming elections so that the elections  are held as fairly as possible." We need to implement changes in the  Electoral Code, negotiate with organizations that will be able to  provide assistance in this matter. We need to prepare well so as not  to repeat the mistakes of past elections, "the deputy noted.  As to  whether the Republican Party will vote for Pashinyan's candidacy,  Zohrabyan expressed her hope that the words of the head of the RPA  faction Vahram Baghdasaryan that the RPA will not become an obstacle  if there is a consensus between the 3 parliamentary factions on the  candidacy of the prime minister will not be just words.

In his turn, the candidate for the post of prime minister from the  Elk faction Nikol Pashinyan noted after the meeting with the deputies  of the Tsaroukyan Bloc that the bloc MPs said they would vote for  him. "We agreed that this is a good opportunity to put Armenia on the  track of sustainable and rapid development, and we have reached  mutual understanding on all issues," the MP said.
