ArmInfo. Leader of the protest movement Take a step, MP Nikol Pashinyan refuses the diploma of Yerevan State University (YSU). He stated this in an interview with journalists. "If I had an intention to get a diploma from YSU, I would have done it for the last 23 years," he said.
Earlier, Nikol Pashinyan said that in 1991 he entered the Yerevan State University (YSU), in 1995, two days before the final exams, he was expelled from the University by the decision of the administration. "The decision was made for political reasons and was connected with my journalistic activities.I was asked to write a statement of repentance and on the spot to recover, but I naturally refused," he wrote on his Facebook page.
With this in mind, YSU issued a statement in which he expressed his readiness to issue a diploma to Nikol Pashinyan, in case of his consent.
