ArmInfo. Faction of the Republican Party in the National Assembly of Armenia held yesterday meeting with the resigned third president of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan and the acting prime minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan.
According to the RPA press service, in the first part of the meeting, Serzh Sargsyan spoke in detail about the reasons for his resignation from the post of Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia. He also presented his vision of the various formats of work in the National Assembly, calling for special attention to issues of internal stability and security of the country, which can only be realized through the unification of the Republic.
In the second part of the meeting the members of the faction discussed with the acting Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan the current political situation and possible developments. An agreement has been reached that RPA will make a statement about its readiness without any preconditions to discuss any issue with all parties. In addition, the RPA intends to begin discussions on the question of the replacement of the party chairman.
Recall that the Republican Party is currently headed by the third president of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan.
