ArmInfo.n. "For me, as a politician, it was incomprehensible and unacceptable for my members of the party, on April 17 in the National Assembly of Armenia, who voted for Serzh Sargsyan's candidacy. But I have no right to condemn or blame them - everyone is free in their choice, everyone has their own motives, "Naira Zohrabyan told journalists during the protest rally.
According to Zohrabyan, the ruling regime does not have right not to hear nation's voice. The MP is sure that the situation will be extended soon and in peaceful way. "This experienced once again showed that any step of the authorities which goes against the will of the people, is doomed in advance, "she said.
As the Tsaroukyan bloc MP stated, the candidacy of Nicol Pashinyan is acceptable to her. "I do not think that any of our party will oppose this candidacy. But all this is still the subject of future discussions, "she stressed. At the same time, as the MP said, many people quite justifiably can blame the members of the Tsaroukyan bloc for having previously supported Serzh Sargsyan's candidature in the parliament. "Citizens of Armenia and media representatives can reproach us for this. But many of us, including myself (12 people-editor's notes) also voted <against>. I have no right to blame anyone for this choice. I'm clean before my conscience, and the motivation of the others - I do not understand, "she pointed out.
At present, as Zorabyan believes, the only possible agenda in possible negotiations with the authorities is the peaceful transfer of power to the people. Another participant in the procession, also a member of the "Tsarukyan" block, David Manukyan, who voted on April 17 for the premiership of Serzh Sargsyan, today already believes that if the people are against the premier in the person of Sragsyan, then he (the people) cannot be mistaken. "Perhaps, I was wrong in my choice," he said. In his choice, by his own admission, perhaps another member of the bloc, Vardan Bostanjyan, was mistaken. "An error occurred," he noted.
Let's remind that a little earlier the Tsarukyan block appealed to its party members to go out and join the wave of nationwide protest. Almost all political forces of the country made such an appeal, the RPA remained together with its ARF Dashnaktsutyun coalition partner.
Rallies of disobedience are taking place throughout the republic. At the moment, according to the correspondent of ArmInfo, the Spitak section of the Vanadzor-Yerevan road has been closed.
