Being aware of the danger, the mayor's office, by order of the mayor Mamikon Aslanian, cut off electricity on the square so that the protesters could not turn on the microphones and speakers.
In turn, the brother of the head of the faction of the ruling Republican Party, Vahram Baghdasaryan, who heads the Vanadzor branch of the company Gazprom Armenia, threatened his employees who "dared" to participate in the rallies by dismissal.
Despite the repressive measures, more and more Vanadzor residents are joining the protest actions, the correspondent of ArmInfo from Vanadzor reports. So, the employees of the garment factory "Davgar" joined the shares - about 2 thousand people, announcing a strike and heading to the central street of the city.
Earlier, ArmInfo informed that workers of both branches of the garment factory "Gloria" (3 thousand people) announced a strike in Vanadzor this morning.
