Pashinyan to Sargsyan:  people took power in their hands  the problem   will not be solved by my detention, but  the situation will become   more acute

ArmInfo. Every new day comes to prove that the nonviolent "velvet revolution" that has begun in Armenia is unshakable and the victory is inevitable. This was announced by the leader of the "Take a step" initiative, MP Nikol Pashinyan at the rally on the Republic Square on April 21.

Pashinyan once again called  the Defense minister, the head of the  Police and the head of the National Security Service to meet with  Serzh Sargsyan and explain that  people took power into their own  hands, that the issue will not be solved by his (Pashinyan's  -ed.note) detention and the situation will become even more acute:  "And the guarantees that exist here at my presence,  will cease to  exist within my absence. Mr.Mr. Georgiy Kutoyan, Vladimir Gasparyan  and Vigen Sargsyan, go and explain to him that it would be better if  he immediately resigned without any frills, as he cannot be the Prime  Minister of Armenia. I say with all seriousness that Sargsyan's  continued existence in power poses a threat to Armenia's national  security. Mr. Kutoyan go and explain it to him. This will not be a  betrayal on your part. It will be a betrayal if you do not. He must  leave, there is no other way out. "

At the same time, Pashinyan added that even if he is detained today,  they will still be made  to bring him to the National Assembly, where  he will have to make a statement. According to him, this day will be  decisive for all, hinting at a mass paralysis of the streets of the  capital.

The law maker  also noted that they will not succumb to provocation,  and even the destruction of the property of the demonstrators will  not drive them out of the rut. Pashinyan promised that all the  losseswill be reimbursed in the future. "If you hit on the right  cheek, give them the left one. But do not give in to provocation, "he  said.
