ArmInfo. In Yerevan, from 11 am, in spite of heavy rain, a protest march began against Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan and the Republican Party he leads.
The procession led by opposition MP Nikol Pashinyan started from the Nor-Nork`s 7th block. The police again tried to block the road to activists. The deputy head of the Metropolitan Police Valery Osipyan began to find out the relations with Nikol Pashinyan, arguing that he violated the rights of RA citizens by his protest actions, who, because of blocking roads, cannot move freely around the city.
Pashinyan noted that no one has the right to restrict the rights of citizens who are fighting for their rights. Nevertheless, the Police resolutely stated that henceforth it would not allow to conduct marches along the carriageway of streets. Pashinyan also called on the police to do their direct duties and find out who broke the cars of the oppositionists "daring" to close the roads. "Instead of finding and catching these criminals, you detain peaceful activists," the deputy said. Osipyan assured that the cases of damage to the cars were protocoled.
In response to the harsh actions of the police, Pashinyan urged his supporters from different parts of the city to come to the "Titan" store in the 6th block. He also called for blocking the streets in different parts of the city, so that the police could not concentrate their forces. "The police changed the tactics of their actions, because they realized that the victory of the peaceful revolution is very close, and if they dare to detain me, then I call the citizens of the country, block the streets, police stations and come and release me," Pashinyan said.
The situation is heating up.
