ArmInfo.Leader of the "Make a step" movement, opposition MP Nikol Pashinyan refutes the information that he was passing any note to the policeman.
According to Pashinyan, he was only trying to hold on to Deputy Chief of the Metropolitan Police Valery Osipyan not to fall. At the same time he added that the original video record of this moment is, and you can make sure of the veracity of his words. Pashinyan also stressed that he had known Osipyan for a long time personally, and if necessary he could have made contact with him and would not have resorted to such ridiculous actions. "So, I did not transfer any so-called note before clashes with representatives of law enforcement agencies, I did not plan to touch on this provocation, but since our people were deceived many times, I decided to make explanations." Nowadays high technologies allow to edit any video", he said.
Note that since the early morning in social networks a video is spinning, where it is seen how Pashinyan transmits the note to the policeman before the clashes between the police and the protesters on April 16. Nevertheless, it remains an open question why Pashinyan deviated from his original plan and in the morning did not block the approaches to the National Assembly, but instead led the people on the outskirts of Yerevan.
It is noteworthy that the police continue to actively expose activists to the drive. As of 14:00, more than eight dozen activists were subjected to the drive. Among them are many organizers of protest actions. Meanwhile, the Ombudsman of Armenia has already issued a statement in which he stressed the illegality of long-term detention of the persons subjected to the drive. The Armenian police promised to understand the situation.
