ArmInfo.Representatives of the Tsaroukyan bloc believe that any manifestation of protest within the law is permissible, and the authorities do not have the right to use force against peaceful demonstrators. The deputy from Tsaroukyan bloc Naira Zohrabyan stated this in a conversation with ArmInfo correspondent.
Zohrabyan noted that the citizens of Armenia have every right to express their protest by any legal way, including through rallies and protests. "The authorities should not obstruct the free expression of the will of the people." The plenipotentiary structures of Armenia must behave correctly and show respect for the will of the people, "Zohrabyan said.
The MP also noted that she is currently monitoring the actions of the opposition and is fully aware of what is happening. Concerning whether "Tsaroukyan" bloc will join the protests Zohrabyan noted that this issue was not discussed in the bloc. She also said that until the bloc finally determined its position on the candidacy of Serzh Sargsyan as prime minister. "We are still discussing this issue," Zohrabyan said.
In turn, referring to the protest actions, the deputy from the "Yelk" bloc from the "Republic" party Artak Zainalyan stated that the power in Armenia can be shifted only legally, and street fighting is not a method for changing power. In fact, this proposal was the only response of Nikol Pashinyan's associates for the "Yelk" bloc, to which he earlier addressed the call for consolidation.
These days, the pipes of other opposition forces, in particular, the Armenian National Congress Party, are stubbornly silent.
