ArmInfo. The delegation of Armenia headed by Speaker of the National Assembly Ara Babloyan took part in the 47th plenary session of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly on April 13 in St. Petersburg.
As the press service of the Parliament reports, the topic "Intercultural dialogue of the CIS member states: the situation, prospects and legal provision" was discussed during the meeting on a number of other issues. The member of the Armenian delegation Hermine Naghdalyan came up with a detailed speech on it.
The deputy of the National Assembly of Armenia, in particular, stressed the importance of deepening the intercultural dialogue and implementation of long-term cultural programs between the CIS member states. According to Naghdalyan, in modern conditions, the cultural integration of the countries of the Commonwealth is the most important factor in achieving the goals of social and economic development and establishing a constructive dialogue in the solution of humanitarian problems.
The issues of developing model laws of the CIS member states in the areas of innovative technologies, scientific and educational spheres, local government, agriculture, and culture were also discussed.
In conclusion, the heads of the parliamentary delegations of the CIS member states made a press conference, summarized the results of the meeting.
