ArmInfo. Under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan, on April 6, a meeting of the interdepartmental commission for evaluating the program requests submitted by the communities of the republic to receive subventions was held.
According to the press service of the Government of Armenia, the Minister of Territorial Administration and Development David Lokyan during the meeting presented 40 programs claiming to receive subventions, the total cost of which is 1.371 billion drams. Of this amount, the investments of the communities themselves amount to 791 million drams, and the remaining resources are to be provided from the state budget. The applications concerned the implementation of projects on street lighting, the construction of water pipes, the repair of streets and squares, the creation of kindergartens, the improvement of public gardens, etc. According to David Lokyan, all the programs were discussed in detail with representatives of interested departments, following the results of these discussions, relevant proposals were submitted.
Karen Karapetyan, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, underlining the importance of the effectiveness of the implemented projects, pointed out the need to take into account the proposals of the departments in order to develop real programs. He also called for the active promotion of active community leaders.
Based on the results of the discussions, out of 40 programs, 3 did not receive a positive conclusion from the commission due to insufficient volumes for self-financing of their obligations.
