ArmInfo. The Committee on Arab Affairs of the Egyptian Parliament issued a statement in which he sharply criticized Turkey's military actions in Syria and Iraq and the racial cleansing of Kurds in these areas.
"The criminal military adventures of dictator Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Syria and Iraq are a serious violation of international law and aggression against the sovereignty of the lands of the two countries. This new war of mass extermination, reminding us of the mass extermination of the Armenian people in Turkey during the First World War," statement of the Committee reads, ahram reports.
At the same time, the Committee expressed regret that Russia and the United States are turning a blind eye to Erdogan's war crimes and the racial cleansings he has committed against the Kurds in Syria and Iraq. The statement notes that these actions by the two powers indicate that Erdogan has hidden agreements with Russia and the US on actions in Syria and Iraq. The Committee's statement also regrets the UN's failure to act on Turkey's actions in Syria and Iraq. "Turkey continues to implement a long-term policy to support terrorist groups, provide them with safe havens and help them carry out terrorist attacks in Syria, Iraq and Libya," the Committee said in a statement, and in this context it expresses bewilderment at the silence of Western human rights defenders.
The statement also urges the Arab League, Arab leaders and the Arab people to adopt a unified position on Turkey's aggressive policy in the Arab world.
