ArmInfo. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan signed a decree on the appointment of Lieutenant-General Haykaz Baghmanyan as Deputy Chief of the Joint Staff of the CSTO. The corresponding decree was published on the official website of the RA President.
Baghmanyan signed a contract for a period of three years.
Earlier, Baghmanyan served as deputy chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces. However, he left this post last December due to disagreements with Defense Minister Vigen Sargsyan. The latter noted that Baghmanyan did not perform his duties properly.
It is noteworthy that the name of Lieutenant-General Bagmanyan was exaggerated in a number of corruption scandals.
