ArmInfo. Armenia will tighten fines for violating the rules of fireworks. The corresponding draft legislative amendments were approved at the parliament session on March 21 in the second and final reading.
According to the vice-mayor of Yerevan Kamo Areyan, according to the draft, individuals and legal entities for the first case of violation of the rules of fireworks will be fined 1 million drams, for the second case - 2 million drams. "Based on complaints received from residents of the capital, we propose to introduce restrictions on the use of household fireworks.
In particular, it is forbidden to conduct fireworks in the immediate vicinity of residential buildings and at the wrong time, "the vice mayor of Yerevan said.The law defines the territories of the administrative districts of the capital and regions where the launching of household fireworks. The right to organize fireworks will be granted only to legal entities. It is prohibited to sell pyrotechnics to individuals, legal entities will be entitled to purchase them only if they have a license and with the consent of the community leader.
Control over the implementation of the provisions of the law will be entrusted to the police and local governments. According to the Code of Administrative Offenses of Armenia, the use of pyrotechnics from 23:00 to 07:00 entails administrative responsibility. Now violators should be fined in the amount of 100 to 200 thousand drams, but, judging by what is happening in the country, the law absolutely does not work. This is especially evident in the days of weddings, celebrated in restaurants, as well as on New Year's Eve.
