At the same time, Marukyan noted that for the "Elk" bloc the reproduction of Serzh Sargsyan at the helm of power was always unacceptable. "Any action has an opposition, we must show that we have an alternative candidate for the post of prime minister of the country, an alternative program of the government." We must do everything to make the citizens of Armenia understand that an alternative system can replace the current system. We will vote against Serzh Sargsyan, and if we have our own candidate from the "Elk" faction, we will give him our votes, we will challenge Sargsyan's premiership with our speeches. "This is the variant of the struggle that we used, and we will use it," said Marukyan, without answering the question about whether the block "Elk" will go out to the street fight. As is known, on the eve of the political forces that are part of the bloc did not reach consensus on this issue and decided to separately determine their strategy to fight the authorities.

The head of the faction of the ARF "ARF Dashnaktsutyat" Armen Rustamyan considered positively the possible nomination of Sargsyan as prime minister. "Yes, there are no irreplaceable people, but we should not forget that Serzh Sargsyan is leading our country for 10 years, and it is very important that the head of state wants to pass on his experience to the next generation. The beginning for changes in the country is already laid by constitutional amendments, democratic mechanisms are created, the basis for the rule of law and respect for human rights," Rustamyan stressed.

Today, on the one hand, we have positive results in foreign policy, which give us a great resource of strength, we have reached a level of internal stability that already positively predetermines the dynamics of the economic indicators of stability, but on the other hand, it is impossible to ignore the threats that, in the course of constitutional reforms, unfortunately, only grew: we passed the April war, saw the actions of people ready to solve the problems in the capital by force of arms, today we are also seeing forces that, apart from with possible consequences, are ready to raise problems on the street, regardless of whether these tasks are in the framework of political science and logic or not. "He stressed that if in the end it will be decided that his candidacy will be put forward premier, it will be with one condition that, in parallel with the full implementation of constitutional powers, he will devote much more time to the transfer of all the overt and covert experience of the past years of governing the country to young political leaders. "This is a task that is extremely important today, and we all have to work on the issue of forming new political leaders, regardless of their party affiliation, regardless of the current political positioning," the president summed up.
