According to the press service of the Ministry of Defense, Minister Sargsyan stressed that border communities are of paramount importance for the state, therefore the issues of concern to the residents of these communities are at the center of the daily attention of the country's leadership. In this regard, an interdepartmental commission has been set up to address issues to be coordinated in the border communities. Within the framework of his visit to the Tavush region, the interdepartmental commission held a regular meeting in the municipality of Berd, during which the tasks that had been accomplished and were being discussed were discussed. The parties touched upon issues related to the implementation of investment programs in the border communities, the creation of new jobs, the improvement of roads and lighting, as well as partial compensation for tuition fees for students.
In conclusion, the chairman of the commission, Defense Minister Vigen Sargsyan expressed confidence that the work of the commission in the border communities will yield tangible results.
