ArmInfo.With the assistance of VTB Bank (Armenia), an exhibition will be opened in the Museum of Russian Art of Yerevan on 20 March 2018 within the framework of the project "Return of the stolen Vrubel" dedicated to the Russian artist Mikhail Vrubel and the return of the lost relic "Demon and the Angel with the soul of Tamara" to Armenia.
Mikhail Vrubel's painting "The Demon and the Angel with the Soul of Tamara" was stolen from the Museum of Russian Art (the collection of Professor A. Ya. Abramyan) in 1995. The 22-year-old international wanted painting was found in March 2017 by Russian special services. For 8 months the picture was on restoration, after which it found its original appearance. On November 15, 2010, in Moscow, within the framework of the Days of Armenian Culture in Russia, in the Vrubel Hall of the State Tretyakov Gallery, Russian President Vladimir Putin handed it over to President Serzh Sargsyan.
