The Armenian government partly or completely subsidizes the costs associated with connecting to the e-health system of medical institutions that provide free and reduced medical services within the framework of the state order. The resolution on allocation of 203.1 million drams from the reserve fund for payment compensation was approved at a government meeting on March 15.
Levon Altunyan, the Minister of Health, stated that 100% of the subsidies will be provided to polyclinics, outpatient clinics and border hospitals, 70% of the funding is offered to all regional and capital medical institutions that perform state orders with a monthly turnover of up to 100 million AMD, 50%- is supposed to the capital's medical institutions with a monthly turnover of over 100 million AMD.
For these purposes, as explained by the minister, it is proposed to allocate funds in the amount of 49 million AMD saved in 2017 as a result of optimization of the institutions subordinate to the Ministry of Health, as well as 153.9 million AMD saved in the course of purchases and in the form of grants medical institutions within the framework of contracts concluded by medical institutions with the Ministry of Health.
