ArmInfo. A joint meeting of the Permanent Commission on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly of Armenia and the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia is ended in Yerevan.
The session on "Cooperation in International Parliamentary Structures" was addressed by the Deputy Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on External Relations Hermine Naghdalyan and the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, Konstantin Kosachev.
The speakers presented in detail the joint work in the IPU, the PA CSTO, the CIS IPA, the PABSEC, the OSCE PA, the MAP, PACE, emphasized the importance of coordinated and mutually beneficial cooperation, revitalizing ties, and addressed a number of other topical issues. Naghdalyan expressed dissatisfaction with the activities of the BSEC PA, stressing that this structure lost its original mission and turned into a platform of political intrigues.
At the end of the meeting, the chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Armen Ashotyan and the chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and K. Kosachev signed a joint statement.
The next joint meeting of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations and the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation will be held in the second half of 2018 in Moscow.
