It is based on the results of the program "Integrated Biodiversity Management in the South Caucasus". Elzing noted that his delegation's mission is to familiarize with Armenia's priorities and environmental problems, which requires clear decisions, as well as studying the experience of past projects implemented on the ground in order to avoid duplication of work. He noted with satisfaction that the purpose of the launched program coincides with the priorities of the Ministry of Nature Protection of the Republic of Armenia aimed at addressing energy efficiency and rational use of natural resources in rural communities in order to ease pressure on the forest. The Minister of Nature Protection of Armenia proposed to implement the project in one particular community in order to subsequently introduce it in other communities.
