"The development of the Armenian-Russian relations will be as provided for by bilateral agreements, numerous summits, negotiations and, first of all, from the principles of well-being of the peoples of the two countries. The Russian-Armenian relations are historical in character, and the vectors of their development are documented."
According to the results of the voting held on March 2 in the National Assembly of Armenia, the only candidate, Armen Sargsyan, nominated by the ruling coalition, was elected the new president of the country. For the candidacy of Sargsyan, 90 MPs of the Armenian parliament voted, against - 10. Earlier, the parliamentary factions "Dashnaktsutyun", the ruling Republican Party (RPA) and the "Tsarukyan" bloc declared their support for the nominee nominated by the ruling party - Armen Sargsyan. Only the "Elk" block was against it.
Recall that, according to the new Constitution, adopted in 2015, from April this year, Armenia will completely pass to the parliamentary form of government.
